Frequently Bought Together

Zap PolyVibe™ synthetic cotton speaker damping liners are made in the USA to exact specifications under strict quality control to ensure you receive a consistent high grade product. These are used to line the internal walls of high end speakers and subwoofers because they are denser and stiffer than our blanket products and will absorb lower frequencies more effectively. PolyVibe Liners are light weight compressed synthetic cotton material consisting of long and fine fibers thermally bonded together with heat and pressure. No chemicals are ever added during this process making them one of the best eco-friendly, naturally flame resistant, thermal acoustic damping materials you can buy. Performs as good or better than denim and fiberglass insulation panels without the dusty mess or itchy skin. This 1" thick liner material is denser than our blankets but can easily be cut and installed in your cabinet at any time. Soft enough to be pushed through woofer holes if needed. Our various thicknesses help you match the proper damping liner with your particular project. For 10" and larger woofers use Zap’s 1.75” thick liners. You will not find a better or safer material anywhere on the market.

Here is how high end speaker manufacturers use 1” thick Zap PolyVibe™ Liners:

Inside ported or sealed speakers using 6” – 8” woofers: Line the top, bottom, and rear panel of the speaker cabinet. This will dramatically reduce back-waves and internal reflections coming directly from the woofer. For ported cabinets some manufacturers will then cover the side walls or lightly stuff the cabinet with our synthetic cotton damping fibers. For sealed speakers, after lining the top, bottom, and rear panels you can fill the whole cabinet with polyfill, our synthetic cotton, or a PolyVibe blanket.

Inside ported or sealed subwoofers 12” or smaller: Line all internal walls with 1” PolyVibe liners. For ported subwoofers, this is all you need. For sealed subwoofers you will want to fill the remainder of your cabinet with polyfill, our synthetic cotton, or PolyVibe Blankets.
