Audiophile Grade Premium Components
Premium polypropylene capacitors with 3% tolerances give you tighter frequency control and ultra-precise phase alignment for greater accuracy versus cheaper polyester capacitors. When you're building high-fidelity audio systems where signal integrity and low distortion are crucial, polypropylene capacitors are much better for speaker crossovers than polyester capacitors. They offer lower distortion, less signal loss, better stability, and tighter tolerances which results in clearer, more accurate sound. The crossovers use trusted ERSE brand 18 gauge iron core and 18-20 gauge air core inductors made from 99.9% oxygen free copper wound to tight 3% tolerances as well. Lower DC resistance, zero distortion, and components that live up to their reputation to give you the best sound quality in your next speaker building project.
Better Circuit Board Material
ERSE uses FR-4 fiberglass circuit board material instead of the cheaper CEM-1 material used in most competitor models. FR-4 is the gold standard for professional audio gear. Compared to CEM-1 “blue board”, FR-4 offers superior thermal stability, reduced signal interference, better insulation, and exceptional durability. This means cleaner audio transmission, zero warping over time, and rock-solid performance—even under high-power conditions.
Smoother Installation and Smarter Design
Our thick plastic stand-offs (included) elevate the board off your mounting surface. This gives you optimal airflow to prevent heat build-up for cooler operation and longer component life. The stand-offs reduce and help absorb any vibrations to reduce resonances that can be harmful to sound quality. They also eliminate electrical shorts from accidental contact with conductive surfaces inside your speaker cabinet while keeping the soldered pads from touching the mounting surface. All parts glued in place to eliminate vibrations. Large .25" quick connect terminals make installation super easy.
