Replacement Part - This woofer was a customized Beta-8 used in Jeff Bagby's second Fusion-8 Alchemy speaker design. Eminence had the cones custom made specifically for the DIY community so they weren't purple like the originals. Hemp was used as the cone material to keep it very light weight and strong. A green dye was added to give it an unmistakable look. It has a slightly smoother frequency response than the original Beta-8, but the overall specs are the same.  Jeff thought the sound was very nice and swore it was better than the original Beta-8. He thought the different dust cap was likely the reason why it had a smoother response, but he wasn't sure why he liked the sound of it better than the purple coned model. I joked with him that the hemp had gone to his head!
