Heat Shrink Insulated Waterproof Butt Connectors (16-14 AWG) 25pcs

Cinergy Audio EZ-Seal waterproof heat shrink butt connectors are made from marine grade nylon/polyolefin for wire sizes 16awg to 14awg. The internal copper sleeve has been tinned for corrosion control and the heat shrink tubing is lined with heat activated adhesive to ensure a tight waterproof connection for your wires. Translucent outer shell lets you view the wire as you're inserting to ensure that it is positioned properly before crimping. A 'stop tab' in the center prevents over-insertion. 3:1 shrink ration and used extensively for electrical and audio cables in marine and automobile applications or whenever you want a water or dust proof connection. Installers also use these when running outdoor speaker set ups.

Installation Note:

• Prepare the wire: Strip the insulation from the ends of the wire you want to connect, exposing the bare wire. We usually recommend about .25" of exposed wire.
• Slide on the terminal: Place the crimp terminal over the exposed wire. Make sure the wire is fully inserted into the terminal, with the wire insulation sitting against the base of the terminal.
• Crimp the terminal: Use a crimping tool or a pair of strong pliers to crimp the lower barrel of the terminal onto the wire. This will secure the wire inside the terminal. Ensure that the crimps are tight enough to secure the wire inside the terminal.
• Test the connection: Give a slight tug on the crimp terminal and wire to be sure they are fully connected and secure.
• Use a heat gun to shrink both ends of the butt connector around your wire.
