Cinergy Audio #8 x 1" Truss Head Screws 50 Pcs.

Cinergy #8 truss head screws are commercial grade screws for assembling cabinets and installing tweeters, woofers, or subwoofers.  These are an upgrade from the traditional truss heads because they have a very sharp cutter (auger) on the tip of the screw that reduces the chance of the wood splitting. This model also has a square head driver instead of a phillips head for safer installs around your woofers because square head drivers reduce the chance of slipping. Black coating for enhanced corrosion and abrasion resistance. The truss head is .35" (9mm) in diameter which is great for mounting larger woofers in your speaker cabinet. The course threads have a lot of extra 'bite' to give you strong retention power in all types of wood, including MDF. Due to their sharp tips and auger, they are considered 'self tapping' or 'self piercing' screws but we always recommend drilling pilot holes whenever installing any screw in any type of wood.  This is done as a precaution to lower your chances of splitting the wood.
