Continuing a Legendary Woofer: As we all know DIY Cable-Exodus sadly closed it's doors but the Anarchy Series lives on. I'm happy to say that Kevin agreed to let us keep this incredible woofer in production from the same manufacturer, same specs, and using the same materials as before. Kevin helped set up all the ordering to make sure everything was identical.

The 7" Anarchy woofer that Kevin designed is an excellent extended range driver that can be used as a woofer, midwoofer, or even as a subwoofer due to it's massive 25mm peak-peak xmax. It has class-leading output for a 180mm woofer. The incredible xmax allows it to deliver the bass output of two typical woofers of this size and format. This is achieved by an XBL motor along with a highly optimized suspension and careful design of the aerodynamic performance of the spider/pole vent assembly. The result, is a mid-woofer that is near silent in free-air under full stroke. The highly linearized suspension and motor assembly give the Anarchy world-class distortion performance.

The Anarchy isn't just a high-output stroker though. It has smooth usable frequency response for easy use with almost any tweeter you choose to match it with. Unlike copy-cat models from other manufacturers, the anodized aluminum Anarchy cone has an extremely manageable break-up mode that doesn't require notch filters for good design. The T/S parameters make this woofer an ideal match for 14-20L ported enclosures or small sealed designs. The resonant enclosures typically deliver good usable bandwidth to 30Hz when designed correctly and in-room response can easily reach into the mid 20s.

Anarchy Series woofers are trusted worldwide by 6 well known speaker manufacturers in at least 14 different high fidelity speaker models costing between $729 - $8550 each. We want to keep these available to the DIY community because after all these years they've created a cult following. Some companies have tried to replicate the design or the idea, but they simply can't match the overall sound quality and output of these original Anarchy woofers.
