Denovo Audio PS92-8 Point Source 3.5" Full Range Driver 8 ohm.

Denovo Audio just set the benchmark for all 3.5” full range drivers by creating what is possibly the best all-around performer to date. No details were overlooked while designing these full range drivers. Shorting rings to lower distortion. Custom curvilinear rubber surrounds instead of a tall or inverted surrounds. This allows sound to flow smoother from the aluminum cone over the cast aluminum frame which significantly reduces diffraction issues. A copper-anodized phase plug controls dispersion and gold plated terminals allow for easy hook up.

The PS92-8 went through multiple changes that were tested and tweaked with a clear set of goals in mind:

• Incredibly flat frequency response Fs under 100hz for better bass response.
• Copper shorting ring to lower harmonic distortion in the midrange and treble.
• Copper in motor to lower inductance to lift output in the upper frequencies.
• Qts to allow cabinet size around .10cuft cabinet response down to 60hz or less.
• Increase X-max for more bass output potential.
  
• Custom phase plugs instead of flat dustcaps to lower distortion and diffraction.
• Custom curvilinear shaped rubber surround smooths the transition from the cone giving a flatter response and significantly lowers diffraction issues versus inverted or tall surrounds.

Not only did they hit their technical goals, but they did it while maintaining great cosmetics. These will certainly look great on your desktop or as a small bookshelf speaker.
