Description

The Helix MTM - A masterpiece by Jeff Bagby.

The Helix was one of Jeff Bagby's favorite designs. He helped tweak the actual woofer model itself before the design started and he was very happy to hear how the Helix speakers turned out. The MTM uses dual woofers for even more dynamic output and smooth off axis response. The 7" Hexcore™ woofers are special because their ultra-light cone has three layers made of a hexagon membrane sandwiched between two layers of glass fiber composite material. Incredibly rigid while staying very light weight. You can read more about the woofers by clicking here.

I told Jeff he could use any tweeter he wanted and his decision was a well priced SB-Acoustics model. He told me it was a 'diamond in the rough' and sounded much better than tweeters costing triple the money. He said the tweeter would work perfectly because it didn't need much crossover work to blend perfectly with the woofer. In the end the crossover network only needed 6 components to let those parts work perfectly together!

Don't be fooled by overpriced speakers sold elsewhere. The final Helix speaker will impress any audiophile and outperforms speakers costing 10 times as much. That's no fluff talk either, we've heard them and we've tested them. You just have to build it, listen to your favorite music, and then you'll agree that Jeff really did create a masterpiece for us!
