The HiVi L6-4R is engineered to solve a common issue in speaker design: aggressive top-end cone breakup. By combining woven Kevlar fibers with a specific paper damping compound, this 6-inch driver provides the lightning-fast transient response and structural stiffness of Kevlar while retaining a remarkably smooth, well-behaved top-end roll-off. The mirror-black phase plug improves high-frequency dispersion and mid-band transparency. This design keeps the critical midrange clear, detailed, and phase-coherent, allowing for simpler, lower-order crossover configurations. The muted bluish color of the Kevlar material with the black phase plug give a really nice overall appearance.

The woofer is built on a cast aluminum basket that provides maximum frame rigidity while keeping rear-wave reflections to a minimum. It has a fully shielded ferrite magnet system, making it safe for placement near sensitive electronics and home theater systems without magnetic interference. With an Fs of 50 Hz and a 4.3mm linear Xmax, the L6-4R delivers clean, impactful bass response down to 49 Hz in a modest 12-liter (0.42 cu ft) vented enclosure.
