The HiVi RT2C-A challenges the limitations of conventional dome tweeters by delivering true large-format planar performance. Measuring nearly 7 inches in diameter, it is an absolute giant among planar tweeters. This isodynamic ribbon utilizes an ultralight Kapton film diaphragm for a nearly perfect transient response. The large radiating area permits a relatively low crossover point between 2,000 Hz and 3,000 Hz, making it easy to pair with larger 6.5-inch or 8-inch midbass woofers in high-end 2-way and 3-way systems. Acoustically, it offers exceptional efficiency and dynamcs.

For crossover designers, the RT2C-A solves several common passive network headaches. Because the conductive trace is an etched planar surface rather than a wound wire coil, voice coil inductance is practically nonexistent. This yields a flat, purely resistive impedance curve across its operational band from 1,700 Hz up to 30,000 Hz, meaning you won't need to add impedance-flattening Zobel networks to keep filter slopes predictable. The tweeter has a heavy, rigid cast aluminum front flange with an integrated acoustic flare to optimize horizontal dispersion while controlling vertical ceiling and floor reflections.
