HiVi SD1.1-A 1 Inch textile dome tweeter — With Installation Kit.

The HiVi SD1.1-A is well known in the DIY speaker community for its smooth, linear response and easy integration with various different woofer models. Designed with a 1 inch textile fabric dome and a ferrofluid-cooled voice coil, this driver has a low 1,200 Hz resonant frequency (Fs) to allow a low minimum crossover point of 2,000 Hz. We all like a strong mounting plate, and this tweeter has it. A heavy, die-cast alloy faceplate protects the diaphragm while acting as a subtle waveguide to control dispersion and improve off-axis listening performance. To reduce unwanted resonances, a specialized internal damping ring is positioned directly beneath the dome. The motor system uses a fully shielded double magnet structure, allowing for safe placement near sensitive electronics. With an nominal 6-ohm impedance and a solid 91 dB sensitivity, it works well with a wide variety of midrange drivers and woofers you'll find here.

To save you a trip to the hardware store, we include a custom-matched Installation Kit at no extra charge so you can start building immediately. Each DS1.1-A tweeter you buy comes with a pre-cut gasket, two gold plated quick connect terminals, and six screws for free.
