The new 2026 Overnight Sensation Towers have arrived with high quality MDF flat pack cabinets included!

We talked with the Mr. Paul Carmody (the speaker designer) about the possibility of making a tower version of his wildly popular Overnight Sensations kits. We showed him our prototype tower cabinet with not one, not two, but three full depth horizontal braces to make the cabinet nice and solid. Very little persuasion was needed before he said "Let's do this", and so we did! Paul did not disappoint with this all new tower version. It has the same HiVi tweeter as the other upgraded models and comes with a circuit board for easy assembly, name brand crossover parts from Bevenbi and ERSE, and even a push-in style port tube for easy installation. Not enough? Okay, how about some flashy new bronze colored screws to match the woofers cone. Now you just have to build a pair!

Ordering Note: Minimum order is two. Kits are sold as full kits, sorry no substitutions or subtractions. This kit includes the flat pack cabinet but they are now being packaged and shipped by themselves. They are priced at cost ($36.50 each) and because of this they can't be shipped "for free". The Overnight Sensations have been one of the best selling DIY speaker kits of all time. In 2025 we talked with Paul Carmody to see if he had any visions to upgrade, improve, or expand on his original series. After some brainstorming and prototype drawings he decided to take the Overnight Sensation idea to a higher level. Paul created 5 new designs that really showcase what this well known speaker series can do. The 4" woofer size has always impressed people because it's able to fill an average size room with unexpected volume and good bass response. But could they be even more impressive with additional woofers? Could the high end frequencies be improved with a new tweeter? The correct answer is: Yes and Yes!

FAQ's for the Overnight Sensations

Do I need to cut the ports to a different length?

No, the ports do not need to be cut down.

Where's the best place to put the crossover?

After you assemble your crossover network, it can be put on the inside of any panel that's easiest for you to work with. But most people put it on the rear panel.
