The S2000 MTM - Pushing beyond expectations

Paul Carmody wanted an upgrade path for people that enjoy his Overnight Sensations without breaking the bank. What could really be done with such a small enclosure if we found the right woofer and tweeter combo? Well, there was only one way to find out. I talked to some high end woofer manufacturers and told them what we were hoping for.  We needed a studio monitor quality woofer that will sound amazing when pushed hard. And because this is for the DIY crowd, it also has to look really good. Samples were made, samples were approved, and we finally sent Paul a high fidelity carbon fiber woofer and Wavecor tweeter to experiment with. A month later I got an email from Mr. Carmody.  He said the woofer seemed to get better the harder he pushed it, which reminded him of the highly sought after Honda S2000.  Click here for more woofer specs.

It just reminds of them in the way that they are small and high-tech looking, and really open up when you push them hard. I’m enjoying these woofers. Even though they model similarly to several other woofers, for some reason they seem to dig deeper. They're going to sound amazing.
